Head of Data (Sr. Director/Executive Director)

Role: Head of Data (Senior Director/Executive Director) responsible for building and governing the company's Knowledge System, the core data infrastructure powering all AI functions. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining ontologies, semantic enrichments, data catalog, and digital twins; leading a team of data engineers and stewards; implementing FAIR data principles; ensuring data governance, quality, and compliance with GxP standards; and managing data for vendor evaluation. The role requires close collaboration with AI engineering, product, IT, and business units across Clinical, R&D, CMC, and Commercial functions. Qualifications: 12+ years in data engineering, architecture, or knowledge management within regulated, data-intensive biopharma environments; expertise in knowledge systems, ontologies, semantic data modeling, and cloud data stacks (Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka); experience with GxP frameworks, clinical and manufacturing data systems, and MLOps data needs; BS/MS/PhD in relevant sciences or engineering. Preferred: senior biopharma leadership experience, external industry recognition, and strong people development skills.
