Responsibilities:
- Lead implementation of a first-in-class Commercial Operations organization across Data Analytics, Forecasting, Sales/Business operations, and Commercial Systems/processes.
- Establish and maintain analytics/operational infrastructure to support the commercial business.
- Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer to coordinate cross-functional initiatives, drive strategic alignment, and serve as a central communication/execution point.
- Build and lead a high-performing, diverse team.
- Use data-driven insights to support executive decision-making (CEO/CFO/Commercial Leadership).
- Partner with Marketing on promotional activity metrics and reporting on promotional effectiveness by brand and customer segment/channel.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Patient Services, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Executive Leadership to achieve objectives.
- Deliver projects on time, on budget, meeting quality standards.
Core areas:
- Data Analytics: Forecast modeling; analyze claims/product demand/channel inventory/payer/competitive data; build HCP targeting via analytics/CRM; ensure price tracking; manage data aggregators; support monthly/quarterly business reviews.
- Forecasting: Develop and execute forecasting models; run base-case/scenario analysis.
- Sales/Business Operations: Manage CRM/data warehouse and vendor ecosystem; optimize field force size/territory; lead incentive compensation and sales activity reporting; establish field force processes (CRM-to-expense, reimbursement, credentialing, fleet/speaker bureau/expenses).
- Systems/Processes: Deploy/train/maintain field CRM and data warehouse; manage promotional ordering and distribution infrastructure.
Leadership/Communication:
- Lead/motivate team; advise commercial/TA leads; present strategic findings; influence senior stakeholders; communicate complex issues clearly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in related business/analytical field.
- 15+ years in biotech/pharma.
- Experience building commercial operations infrastructure for launch and through mature life cycle.
- Experience across small/emerging and mature biopharma.
- Expertise in medical/legal review of promotional materials and compliant infrastructure.
- Proven third-party data procurement/analysis (market understanding, competitive landscape, launch tracking, market share/payer environment, targeting, sales-force effectiveness).
- Process development and project management in emerging/growing environments.
- Cross-functional collaboration (Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Clinical, Legal, HR, Compliance).
- Strong people management; ability to manage multiple projects.
Preferred:
- Masterโs or advanced degree.
