Role Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the enterprise strategy for AI-enabled Clinical Excellence across Clinical Development.
- Identify high-value AI opportunities to accelerate development timelines, improve quality, reduce operational burden, and enhance decision-making.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on AI capabilities, industry trends, and competition.
- Drive AI adoption across study design, protocol optimization, feasibility, patient recruitment, trial execution, and clinical data review.
- Lead AI-enabled approaches to improve clinical trial performance, operational excellence, and portfolio decisions, including predictive/prescriptive analytics.
- Partner with digital, data science, and technology teams to design, build, validate, and deploy AI tools/platforms.
- Establish scalable AI frameworks integrated into clinical workflows; develop agentic/genAI, predictive analytics, and workflow automation.
- Provide regulatory and governance expertise for AI/ML/advanced analytics; partner to establish governance, validation, and risk management; monitor global guidance.
- Lead cross-functional/multidisciplinary teams and drive adoption via education, change management, and capability building.
- Represent the organization in external forums and build relationships with partners and academic collaborators.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD with 4+ years; or PhD with 5+ years; or MS with 7+ years in relevant life sciences/clinical research/data science/biostatistics/CS/engineering.
- Experience designing/implementing AI/ML/advanced analytics in clinical research.
- Experience supporting Clinical Development/Operations/Science/Data Review/Regulatory Science.
- Leading cross-functional clinical/regulatory/scientific/technical programs; strong GCP and regulatory knowledge.
- Translate complex challenges into scalable technology solutions; strong executive communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Clinical Development/Oncology/Regulatory Science/Data Science/Clinical Informatics.
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI, agentic AI, or workflow automation in regulated environments; Oncology experience.
- Familiarity with emerging AI regulatory frameworks; global agency interaction; enterprise AI transformation.
- Strong publications; leading high-performing teams.

- Base salary $176,600β$294,300; bonus target 20%; participation in long-term incentives; comprehensive benefits (incl. 401(k) with match).
Work/Location
- Hybrid; live within commuting distance; ~2.5 days/week on-site; occasional travel.
