Head, Global Oncology Pipeline, Medical Affairs

Role: Lead global pipeline medical affairs strategy for AbbVie's oncology and hematology portfolio, focusing on early to late-stage development (up to 24-36 months pre-launch). Responsibilities: develop differentiation strategies based on market insights, shape value and evidence plans, coordinate cross-functionally across R&D and commercial teams, ensure integration of HCP, patient, and payor insights into development programs, and oversee pipeline resource allocation. Serve as primary decision-maker for pipeline strategies, represent medical affairs in governance, and lead cross-functional gap and evidence planning. Qualifications: MD or equivalent in oncology/hematology, 15+ years in pharma/biotech with oncology expertise, senior leadership experience in medical affairs, strong scientific knowledge of solid tumors, biomarker development, and emerging therapies (immuno-oncology, targeted therapies). Preferred: familiarity with advanced modalities like CAR-T, immuno-oncology, and a strong publication record. Work involves hybrid setup with travel up to 25-30% domestically and internationally.
