Head, Global Oncology Pipeline, Medical Affairs

Role: Lead global medical affairs strategy for pipeline and lifecycle management within AbbVie's oncology and hematology therapeutic areas, focusing on differentiation, evidence generation, and market insights. Responsibilities: develop and oversee pipeline medical, value, and evidence strategies up to 24-36 months pre-launch; coordinate cross-functional efforts to align US and international plans; integrate HCP, patient, and payor insights into development and commercialization strategies; manage resources and ensure effective handovers to inline teams; lead governance and strategic decision-making for pipeline assets; shape enterprise research priorities and collaborate with US Medical Engagement to track KPIs. Qualifications: MD or equivalent in oncology/hematology; 15+ years industry experience with expertise in oncology clinical development, regulatory processes, and commercialization; proven leadership in medical affairs and cross-functional collaboration; strong knowledge of solid tumor biology, emerging modalities like immuno-oncology, and biomarker development; excellent communication skills. Preferred: familiarity with advanced cancer treatments (e.g., CAR-T), a track record of publications, and experience managing global medical activities. High-Value: oncology, hematology, pipeline strategy, early-stage development (preclinical to pre-launch), global/regional coordination, and travel (up to 25-30%).
