Job Summary
The GVHD Account Manager is responsible for the promotion and sales of Incyte’s GVHD products within bone marrow transplant centers, academic institutions, and community oncology practices. This role is the primary customer contact and executes strategic business plans to drive appropriate utilization of Incyte’s GVHD portfolio to support patients with chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD).
Essential Functions
- Consistently achieve or exceed revenue and demand generation targets for assigned products.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive business plan using market insights, patient journey dynamics, and account intelligence.
- Build and maintain clinical acumen in cGVHD, BMT processes, and the product’s clinical profile.
- Deliver scientifically credible, compliant promotional messages and disease-state education to key stakeholders (transplant physicians, nurse coordinators, pharmacists, and others).
- Engage BMT specialists and clinical care teams to drive product awareness and appropriate use.
- Understand referral patterns and transitions of care to support appropriate product adoption.
- Manage access complexities (logistics, specialty pharmacy distribution, site-of-care considerations).
- Coordinate with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Key Account Managers (KAMs) to align messaging.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to prioritize and position assigned products.
- Leverage cross-functional partners (Access & Reimbursement, Medical Affairs, Marketing) to support patient access and optimize engagement.
- Represent the company professionally, compliantly, and ethically.
- Provide actionable field insights to inform strategy.
- Develop deep relationships with BMT centers and thought leaders.
- Conduct in-person customer interactions and virtual interactions as needed.
- Travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 8 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience.
- Minimum 3 years calling on academic institutions or transplant centers (strongly preferred).
- Prior experience in hematology, oncology, immunology, or rare disease required; BMT experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success launching specialty/biologic products in complex clinical settings.
- Strong business planning and account management.
- Proven ability to gain access and build relationships with decision-makers at academic medical centers.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
