Job Summary
The GVHD Account Manager is responsible for the promotion and sales of Incyte’s GVHD products within bone marrow transplant centers, academic institutions, and community oncology practices. Serves as the primary customer contact and executes strategic business plans to drive appropriate utilization of Incyte’s GVHD portfolio for patients with chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD). Requires clinical and business acumen and coordination across internal stakeholders and products.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Achieve or exceed revenue and demand generation targets for assigned products.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive business plan using market insights, patient journey dynamics, and account intelligence.
- Build clinical acumen in cGVHD, BMT processes, and product differentiated clinical profile.
- Deliver scientifically credible, compliant promotional messages and disease-state education to BMT stakeholders (physicians, nurse coordinators, pharmacists, and other decision-makers).
- Engage BMT specialists and broader clinical care teams to drive awareness and appropriate use.
- Understand referral patterns and transitions of care to support adoption.
- Manage access complexities (product logistics, specialty pharmacy distribution, site-of-care considerations).
- Coordinate with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Key Account Managers (KAMs) to align messaging.
- Partner internally on prioritization and positioning.
- Leverage matrix partners (Access & Reimbursement, Medical Affairs, Marketing) to support access and engagement.
- Represent the company professionally, compliantly, and ethically.
- Provide actionable field insights for marketing, access, and sales strategy.
- Develop relationships with leading BMT centers and thought leaders.
- Provide in-person and virtual customer interactions.
- Travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 8+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience.
- 3+ years calling on academic institutions or transplant centers (strongly preferred).
- Prior experience in hematology, oncology, immunology, or rare disease required; BMT experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success launching specialty/biologic products in complex clinical settings.
- Strong business planning and account management.
- Ability to gain access and build relationships with decision-makers in academic medical centers.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
