Role Summary
GS Fleet Regional Operations Associate based in Tampa, FL or New Brunswick, NJ. Responsible for coordinating day-to-day fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, fuel management, driver issue resolution, compliance, risk management, and stakeholder management. Acts as a liaison between leasing companies, fleet management companies, OEMs, and internal Johnson & Johnson functions. Excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, knowledge of local fleet nuances, and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily fleet operational activities (e.g., vehicle delivery & return, maintenance, repairs) to ensure operational efficiency and a positive experience for fleet-eligible employees
- Serve as a liaison between LCs, FMCs, OEMs, other fleet vendors/suppliers, and internal Johnson & Johnson functions to facilitate fleet processes, maintain relationships, and resolve issues/conflicts
- Balance local business needs with Global Fleet strategy by collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand and satisfy requirements (e.g., fleet demand forecasting, ordering specific vehicle models/specifications)
- Support implementation of strategies and process improvements to drive cost-effective and efficient fleet operations in local markets
- Review suppliers’ service delivery against KPIs and SLAs for quality and contractual adherence
- Analyze regional/market-level fleet data to identify cost-effective efficiency opportunities
- Resolve escalations from fleet-eligible employees (maintenance issues, pool car access, car replacement, etc.)
- Provide regular status updates on regional fleet activities, escalations, risks, and issues to the GS Fleet Operations Manager
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of 4 years of experience in fleet operations, procurement, or related roles
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or related field
- Required: Proven experience in fleet or similar program/portfolio management, including managing relationships with FMCs, OEMs, and other suppliers, with a track record of meeting/exceeding KPIs
- Required: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project management, and decision-making skills
- Required: In-depth knowledge of fleet operations best practices and regional regulations
