Global Trade Compliance Senior Manager
Responsibilities (What You Will Do)
- Lead key elements of Amgen’s global trade compliance program across sanctions, export controls, restricted-party screening, clinical valuation, and international trade compliance.
- Own the enterprise screening framework for counterparties, transactions, and ownership structures under OFAC 50% rule, BIS 50% rule, and other global regulatory authorities; serve as primary escalation point for high-risk alerts and complex ownership determinations; lead enhanced due diligence, risk assessments, and recommended actions.
- Lead the global clinical trial customs valuation program (valuation methodologies and annual true-up), partnering with stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Drive program improvements using automation, AI, advanced analytics, and digital technologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and risk detection.
- Support trade compliance initiatives/special projects and provide support for strategic business initiatives, acquisitions, product launches, and supply chain changes.
- Lead multiple complex initiatives and foster ethics, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications (What we expect of you)
- Doctorate + 2 years, or Master’s + 4 years, or Bachelor’s + 6 years, or Associate’s + 10 years in compliance/screening operations, risk management, regulatory affairs, audit, law, or related field.
Preferred
- Trade compliance SME experience (healthcare/life sciences preferred); strong BIS/OFAC 50% rule and restricted-party screening knowledge; ownership/UBO due diligence experience; platform experience (e.g., Dow Jones, Descartes, SAP GTS, Oracle GTM); investigation/incident management and remediation; ability to analyze/communicate complex data; AI/advanced analytics skills; strong writing/negotiation/presentation/project skills; strategic, independent, relationship-building abilities.
