The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst provides decision makers and business partners with actionable, tailored intelligence in a 24/7 intelligence center environment. Responsibilities include detecting, analyzing, and alerting others of incidents/events that may impact AbbVie’s people, assets, products, and reputation.
HOURS: 9:30pm - 6:00am (Overnight Shift) on a rotating schedule (e.g., 6 nights on / 3 days off).
Responsibilities:
- Author strategic intelligence assessments and reports on impacts to personnel, assets, and reputation (e.g., criminal activity, geopolitical instability, activism, political violence, terrorism, severe weather, labor strikes).
- Monitor information sources globally to detect potential risks.
- Monitor travel safety and security for business travelers.
- Support the Business Risk Intelligence team with intelligence reporting.
- Follow established writing standards; review other analysts’ intelligence reports.
- Brief senior Global Security decision-makers on trends/events and potential business risk.
- Collaborate with the GSOC network (US and OUS) for incident awareness and crisis management.
- Support Global Security Investigations, Protective Services, and partners (site security, Commercial, Purchasing/Supplier Management, Supply Chain Security).
- Manage individual projects and serve as security systems platform administrator.
- Gather and prepare metrics to drive decision making.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with 3+ years in a security center or similar environment; OR bachelor’s degree or military experience (preferred not required).
- 3+ years working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Experience in corporate security, intelligence community, law enforcement, or military.
- Flexibility to work all shifts; willingness to assist with overtime.
- Strong customer service skills; ability to multitask in fast-paced, stressful environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with high-tech environments and learning new tools.
