Role Summary
Global Marketing Director, Amgen Brand Management leads global marketing capabilities and drives the Amgen Brand Management transformation. You will elevate marketing impact across Amgen, partnering with global and local brand teams and external thought-partners, and manage a team of approximately four. The role focuses on marketing talent strategy and building the Amgen Brand Management learning ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Amgen Brand Management learning ecosystem, including curation and management of multi-modal training, management of regional trainers and coordination of designated marketing experts
- Launch and manage the New Hire Onboarding training program
- Manage and build out cross-channel elements of the learning experience on Amgen Brand Management University (Marketing Excellence SharePoint & Learning Hub)
- Lead the execution of the Amgen Brand Management Development Program for aspiring marketing leaders
- Lead the execution of longer term prioritized talent initiatives, such as: Technical Ladder, Hiring Tools (Talent Profiles, Hiring Support), Career Pathways, and Talent Recruitment/Acquisition strategy for marketing
- ABM Learning Ecosystem: Lead the development and execution of the learning ecosystem in support of Amgen Brand Management, including the curation and management of multi-modal training, regional trainers, New Hire training/programming, and the learning experience via Amgen Brand Management University
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of marketing experience
- Required: Master’s degree and 7 years of marketing experience
- Required: Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience in marketing
- Preferred: Advanced competency across the following marketing competencies: Build Brand Foundations, Make Strategic Choices, and Deliver Relevant Differentiation, Execute with Excellence
- Preferred: Experience leading brand strategy/planning for brands at different stages of the lifecycle
- Preferred: Passion for talent development and experience with adult learning principles
- Preferred: Ability to effectively inspire, motivate and lead high impact teams, both internal and external
- Preferred: Strong communication skills: the ability to effectively engage, connect, and influence various levels of the organization, from senior leadership to local marketing managers
- Preferred: Understanding of change management principles and experience driving change across an organization
- Preferred: Travel: up to 20% domestic travel to visit agencies/Amgen headquarters, potentially some international travel
