Role Summary

Global Hospital & Biosimilars Health System Director South Central leads pricing and contracting discussions with Key Accounts to support the biosimilar portfolio. Works with cross-functional teams and HQ partners to ensure compliant and effective strategies, engages executive and administrative stakeholders, and drives formulary access and pull-through. Develops regional hospital and biosimilar strategies, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and participates in regional account teams to maximize opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Appropriate communication and collaboration with cross-functional colleagues to support pricing/contracting discussions with Hospital & Biosimilars Key Accounts.
  • Develop and execute focused, strategic account plans for assigned accounts, emphasizing compliant contracting and contract pull-through.
  • Engage executive and administrative level personnel within HSD accounts with respect to pricing/value messages for the full portfolio as appropriate.
  • Support the development/execution of contracting strategy for the full Biosimilars portfolio by representing needs/perspectives of HSD accounts to HQ-based functions.
  • Comply with Corporate Policies and Procedures, upholding high standards of integrity and business conduct.

Qualifications

  • Required: 8 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical affairs, and/or corporate account management with customer-facing responsibilities.
  • Required: 3–5 years of direct biosimilars and Generic Sterile Injectables experience, including buy-and-bill strategies; knowledge of regulatory pathways (FDA, EMA, Health Canada) and interchangeability requirements.
  • Preferred: Oncology and/or Immunology & Inflammation therapeutic area expertise.
  • Preferred: Proven success engaging Academic Medical Centers, IDNs, and large group practice community accounts.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of US healthcare landscape, including Healthcare Reform, and its impact on organized provider accounts.
  • Preferred: Strong financial acumen to deliver complex pricing/value messages to provider accounts in a compliant manner.
  • Preferred: Ability to engage executive/administrative personnel at large accounts and deliver customer impact; strategic thinking to develop stakeholder business plans.
  • Preferred: Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex programs/projects; excellent collaboration across field and HQ.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
