Role Summary

Global Hospital & Biosimilars Health System Director East is responsible for leading pricing and contracting discussions with hospital and biosimilars Key Accounts, coordinating with cross-functional teams to support the biosimilar portfolio, and developing strategic account plans to maximize formulary access and pull-through. The role engages executive and administrative stakeholders to communicate pricing/value messages and collaborates with HQ functions to support GPO/IDN and Distributor Source contracts. The director also shapes regional biosimilars strategies, leads cross-functional initiatives, and participates in regional account teams to drive portfolio opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to support pricing/contracting strategy and discussions with Hospital & Biosimilars Key Accounts.
  • Develop and execute focused, strategic account plans for assigned accounts, emphasizing compliant contracting and contract pull-through.
  • Engage executive and administrative contacts within HSD accounts regarding pricing and value messages for the full biosimilars portfolio.
  • Support development and execution of contracting strategy for the full biosimilars portfolio by representing HSD account needs to HQ functions.
  • Comply with corporate policies and maintain high standards of business conduct.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical affairs, or corporate account management with customer-facing responsibilities.
  • 3–5 years of direct biosimilars and generic sterile injectables experience, including buy-and-bill strategies; knowledge of regulatory pathways (FDA, EMA, Health Canada) and interchangeability.
  • Preferred: Oncology and/or Immunology & Inflammation domain experience; successful engagement with Academic Medical Centers, IDNs, and large group practices; strong understanding of US healthcare landscape and reform; solid pricing/value messaging skills; strategic thinking and stakeholder management; project management experience; cross-functional leadership experience.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
