Operations
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a global extended characterization strategy across antibodies, nanobodies, multispecifics, and viral/non-viral gene therapy modalities.
- Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple sites to support a broad pipeline.
- Drive team building, talent development, and succession/leadership pipeline.
- Define CQAs with line of sight to analytical control and integrated control strategies.
- Partner with BioAnalytics and across CMC to prioritize work and ensure timely deliverables.
- Establish and harmonize processes/practices across sites; ensure scientific and operational excellence.
- Innovate on advanced analytical platforms; ensure high-quality analytical content in CMC dossiers.
- Transfer high-performance analytical methods.
Qualifications
- Broad, long-term experience in extended characterization of large molecules; strong late-phase development knowledge.
- Proven track record of transformative organizational change and sustained change management.
- 15+ years industry experience, including 5+ years leading an analytical characterization function.
Skills/Requirements
- Lead highly scientific teams; strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to manage a global organization with operational excellence in a matrix environment.
- Autonomy, decision-making, issue resolution, and ability to deliver under pressure.
- Familiarity with digitalization/AI in CMC; strong CMC understanding (process development, formulation) and Quality by Design/ICH.
- Experience with global regulatory submissions (NDA/MAA) and regulatory interactions.
Education & Language
- PhD in Analytical Chemistry or molecular biology (or equivalent). Fluent English.
