Role: Global Clinical Head (Executive Director) for Infectious Disease, leading clinical development and medical strategy for global infectious disease and vaccine assets within AstraZeneca. Responsibilities: oversee clinical programs from early to late stage, develop and execute scientific strategies aligned with TPP and CDP, ensure regulatory submissions (NDA/BLA), and lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment. Requirements: MD or equivalent, 10+ years in pharma with expertise in infectious diseases and vaccines, experience with multinational pivotal Phase 3 trials, regulatory interactions with major health authorities, and clinical drug development. Preferred: prior investigator roles, regulatory affairs expertise, publications, and experience advancing compounds through clinical phases. High-Value: infectious diseases, vaccines, clinical development, regulatory submissions, global trial leadership, and experience with AI/digital tools. Work setup: office-based in Gaithersburg at least 3 days/week, with flexibility; international collaboration.
