Responsibilities:
- Provide enterprise-level technical/discipline leadership for automation across the Global Parenteral Network (PDN): set automation standards, architecture, and technology; own/govern PDN automation tools, engineering standards, master specs, and best practices; lead communities of practice; direct project conceptual/profiling to ensure requirements, lifecycle cost consideration, and removal of non-value-add complexity.
- Lead design and delivery of automation for complex major capital projects across the PDN: govern Design Delivery Gate Review; lead/approve delivery strategies, quality assessments, and CSV & C&Q verification plans; resolve technical issues; partner with GFD, A&E firms, and outsource partners to implement effective automation project management structures.
- Direct multi-group/multi-project/multi-location programs; mentor and coach automation engineers (Automation Engineers/Leads/Program Leads); resolve complex technical/project conflicts; champion health & safety, DEI, ethics, and compliance; embed automation best practices.
- Work safely; improve people/equipment safety; coach/mentor across GPACE and project sites; build cross-functional relationships.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or related science.
- 10+ years pharma process automation/control experience with demonstrated Rockwell Automation platform experience.
- Experience directing multi-program portfolios across global project/manufacturing teams.
- Flexibility for domestic/international travel.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- PDN (parenteral drug product) manufacturing automation experience across multiple platforms (filling, formulation, freeze drying, cartridge, vial, PFS, equipment preparation) and leading complex global automation programs.
- Experience governing Design Delivery Gate Review; authoring delivery strategies, SOWs, CSV/C&Q plans.
- Experience owning PDN automation standards/master specs and driving replication/governance/continuous improvement.
- Experience benchmarking external innovation into proof-of-concept and strategic direction.
- Technical mentoring/career coaching at multiple levels.
- PE, PMP, and/or CAP desired (not required).
