Role Summary
The Specialty Care - GI Health & Science Specialist is a field-based specialty sales role responsible for driving the launch and growth of GI products through compliant, strategic relationships within assigned accounts. Partners with Therapeutic Area Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to execute promotional strategies, support formulary access, and deliver customer engagement.

Role Responsibilities
- Drive customer engagement and sales performance through in-person interactions.
- Build compliant relationships with HCPs and office staff across assigned accounts.
- Deliver approved promotional and disease-state messaging to support appropriate product use.
- Use product, disease, and market knowledge to identify opportunities and prioritize accounts.
- Support patient access with reimbursement, hubs, and co-pay resource information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to address customer needs and advance objectives.
- Use digital tools and insights to plan, execute, and optimize territory activities.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of work experience OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of work experience.
- Minimum 3 years in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales or marketing, or aligned therapeutic-specific healthcare provider experience.
- Valid US driver’s license and compliant driving record (any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within past 7 years disqualifies).

Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years specialty sales experience (preferred: gastroenterology, immunology, inflammation).
- Specialty reimbursement/distribution knowledge; experience engaging KOLs/high-influence accounts.
- Business acumen, data-driven decision making, strategic thinking.
- Digital engagement capability (e.g., Veeva Engage, Teams) and comfort with hybrid selling.

Work Location & Travel
- Field-based; reside within workable distance of all points of business in assigned territory; travel to accounts/office locations; may require overnight stays.

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $108,600–$250,700. During initial new hire sales training: salary non-exempt (overtime eligible); after certification: overtime exempt. Includes sales incentive bonus and benefits (e.g., 401(k) with match, paid time off, caregiver/parental and medical leave, health coverage).
