Role Summary
The Franchise Launch Excellence (FLEX) Lead, Global Immunology, Respiratory and Gastroenterology partners with the Global Respiratory TA Head and Global Gastroenterology TA Head to develop a launch strategy and plan aligned with brand ambition and market opportunities. The role oversees the implementation of a standardized launch blueprint across assets and leads cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class launches, with a focus on disease state education and market shaping activities.
Responsibilities
- Launch Strategy Support
- Partner with Global TA Leads and Teams to develop and deliver best in industry launch strategic plan
- Inspire, guide and monitor key affiliates to ensure all relevant global markets are prepared to launch
- Organize Global Brand Team meetings and outputs, ensuring follow-up on actions cross functionally. Meets with functional experts to gain insight, foster cross functional communication and drive results
- Develops and leverages launch insights to optimize launch planning across the asset lifecycle
- Launch Plan Oversight and Execution
- Oversees the development and execution of the Sanofi Integrated Launch Capabilities (SILC) framework
- Inspires local launch plans that include innovation, efficiency and stakeholder focused problem solving
- Optimizes launch plans by providing guidance on benchmarks, capabilities, and launch team structure. Inspires adoption of best practices across markets
- Partners with Digital Teams to implement an enhanced digital ecosystem, including AI technologies
- Optimizes the approach to launch governance and oversight to drive consistency, simplification, and efficiencies
- Launch Management Tracking and Reporting
- Responsible for TA interactions with Sanofi Integrated Launch Capabilities [SILC] teams and tools
- Responsible for Launch Readiness Reviews (LRR) organization, facilitation, cross-functional support and preparation, across Global and Wave 1 affiliates. Tracks and reports progress on launches according to launch plans
- Responsible for identifying capabilities of the global and country teams to drive a best-in-class launch and identifies gaps for upskilling as needed
- Responsible for launch project management activities, managing relationships and resources with the hubs as needed
- Contributes to launch simulations to assess the brandโs go-to market strategy and operational readiness for launch
- Contributes to the development of launch updates for internal audiences, including regular status reporting to the Executive Launch Committee
- Contributes to the establishment of benchmarked pre-launch, launch and post-launch KPIs in line with brand strategy and responsible for tracking and reporting of the defined metrics in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Responsible for the alignment between SILC KPIs and brand KPIs in partnership with the Global Respiratory & Gastroenterology TA Heads/Indication Leads
- Embeds and shares innovative launch practices from different therapeutic areas
- Partners in the development of launch curriculum to upskill internal teams on critical go-to-market capabilities
Qualifications
- Required: 8+ years commercialization expertise (commercial/medical), including product launches and managing complex projects
- Required: 3+ years leading cross functional teams
- Required: 2+ years of Global experience
- Required: 2+ years of Local (in country) experience
- Preferred: US / major market launch experience
- Required: Deep understanding of launch excellence drivers, launch readiness framework and building BIC capabilities
- Required: Experienced in leading large, cross-functional matrix teams and influencing without authority
- Required: Agile mindset to ensure the team is working at the correct pace while remaining goal oriented
- Required: Ability to leverage networks, to develop people, coach & give feedback, empower people
- Required: Ability to lead change while achieving business goals & objectives; challenge the status quo; be persistent and resilient
