Flex Medical Science Liaison - West

Role: The Flex MSL supports scientific exchange and medical project activities for Travere's rare kidney disease therapies. Primary objectives include proactive engagement with nephrologists and APPs, providing fair-balanced, on-label scientific information, and covering KOLs on demand or temporarily. Responsibilities encompass delivering scientific discussions, maintaining relationships within territory plans, educational activities, congress support, insight generation, and ensuring compliant documentation. Qualifications: Advanced degree (Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA, NP) preferred; 2+ years of MSL experience in pharma/biotech; nephrology or rare disease expertise (IgAN, FSGS) highly desired; experience with KOL engagement, clinical or academic backgrounds considered. Skills include deep scientific knowledge, peer-to-peer communication, strategic thinking, project management, and proficiency with CRM tools like Veeva. The role requires field-based work within assigned territories, travel up to 60-80%, and some evening/weekend commitments. High-value biopharma specifics involve rare kidney disease focus, support for product launches, adherence to FDA and industry compliance standards, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
