Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives across COFO; partner with Finance, General Ledger, Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting, Record-to-Report Strategy & Optimization, Procurement/Strategic Sourcing, and DTE to drive process excellence and continuous improvement.
- Support enterprise transformation (system implementations, M&A integrations/collaborations).
- Evaluate new accounting transactions and assess budget/forecast/reporting impacts.
- Design and support the Finance SOX compliance framework; guide Finance teams and serve as escalation point for SOX matters.
- Sponsor Finance Reporting & Analytics Center of Excellence; support reporting enhancements, automation, and scalable analytics.
- Provide Finance SME support for Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM): supplier financial health assessment, review of elevated-risk suppliers, and mitigation with Procurement.
- Advise on month-end close and SOX control inquiries (consolidation schedules, threshold requirements, reporting system options).
- Champion effective system design, adoption, and change management.
- Adapt to evolving Finance priorities and business needs.

Knowledge and Skills
- Strong business acumen and judgment; knowledge of industry trends.
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and ability to present.
- Strategic mindset translating business objectives into financial frameworks/policies/plans.
- Specialized knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and FP&A best practices.
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial systems/ERP implementation a plus.
- Ability to lead through influence and build trusted relationships.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (required).
- Forecasting, P&L ownership, and SOX controls experience (required).
- CPA and Big 4 (or equivalent) preferred.
- 8+ years progressive finance/industry experience; biotech/pharma strongly preferred.
