Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Manager

Role: Senior Manager, Finance Controller within Vertex's COFO organization, serving as a strategic finance partner across R&D, manufacturing, commercial, and G&A functions. Responsibilities: lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance process efficiency, support enterprise transformations (system M&As), evaluate new accounting transactions, design and oversee SOX compliance, and serve as project sponsor for reporting and analytics initiatives. Act as a financial risk SME for third-party assessments and provide expertise for month-end close, consolidation, and reporting systems. Requirements: Bachelor's in Business, Finance, or Accounting; 8+ years’ experience in finance, with strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and financial planning; CPA preferred. Skills include advanced Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and proven influence and relationship-building skills. High-Value: experience in biotech/pharma, familiarity with industry trends, and regulatory compliance; experience supporting enterprise system implementations, M&A integrations, and risk management in a biotech/biopharma context. WorkSetup: hybrid model (up to 2 days remote/week), with flexibility to work on-site or remotely.
