About the Role
The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is a key contributor to the overall patient support program for ANI Rare Disease Business Unit brands. Assists with facilitating treatment access for patients by coordinating with case management, conducting benefit investigations, educating healthcare providers on prior authorization and appeal processes, and coordinating other patient services.
Responsibilities
- Reports to a director on the field reimbursement team for development and mentoring
- Provides proactive education to healthcare providers on insurance requirements for a patient’s prescription
- Works with Hub case manager and in-network Specialty Pharmacies on prior authorization requirements and communication with HCPs and patients
- Coordinates communication and activities with Nurse Access Specialist colleagues
- Facilitates patient assistance when applicable (e.g., copay and free goods)
- Partners with managed care colleagues to understand policies and highlight new trends
- Collaborates with sales colleagues as appropriate per Compliance policies
Skills/Competencies
- Strong collaboration with Hub partners and cross-functional colleagues
- Familiarity with OIG guidance, HIPAA guidelines, and FDA protocols
- Sense of urgency to address critical access issues
- Problem-solver who navigates challenging access scenarios
- Initiates actions to move patient cases forward
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications/Requirements
- Relevant post-secondary education or applicable certifications
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience with specialty medications (pharma, provider office, or insurance payer)
- Demonstrated expertise with both pharmacy and medical benefits in a specialty disease market
- Ability to travel up to 25% with some evening and weekend commitments
Benefits/Compensation
- Base salary range: $100,000–$175,000
- Eligible for competitive short-term and long-term incentive program (performance/company results)
