Position Summary
- The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is a regionally aligned, field-based position providing access and reimbursement education/support for customers using DEXTENZA.
- Customers include HCPs and staff in offices, ASCs, HOPDs, and other site-of-care facilities. Works with HCPs, billing/coding staff, revenue cycle managers, and other stakeholders.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactively educate purchasers, prescribers, and office personnel on coding (J-codes) and reimbursement/billing to enable patient access (using PRC approved materials).
- Reactively address access and reimbursement issues and provide education to secure appropriate reimbursement/access.
- Provide PRC approved coverage information, including payer claim processing requirements, prior authorization, appeals, and disease-state information.
- Interact with healthcare professionals to resolve access/reimbursement issues; coordinate with cross-functional partners.
- Provide field intelligence and payer policy/market dynamics to National Account Directors and Key Account Managers.
- Coordinate with field sales on account prioritization and follow-up plans.
- Serve as primary point of contact for Market Access for corporate accounts, distribution, HUB, and payer issues.
- Act as HUB liaison: educate customers on patient support programs, enrollment, financial assistance/options, and advocate HUB utilization for patient-specific needs.
Qualification Requirements
- BA/BS degree required.
- 5β7 years prior reimbursement and access experience (preferred).
- 3+ years related pharma/biotech experience (strongly preferred; e.g., Market Access, Sales, Product Marketing).
- Prior experience launching specialty therapeutics in a βbuy and billβ environment.
- Knowledge of medical benefit policies across payer types (Medicare/Medicaid/commercial/VA-DoD) and sites of care (HOPD/ASC/clinics).
- Ability to lead without authority in a matrix environment.
- Strong communications and problem-solving skills with senior decision makers.
- Ability to identify access barriers and design resolution plans.
- Travel ~70β75% (average 4 days/week) and live near a major airport.
Salary Range
- $200,000β$220,000 USD
