Field Access Manager (FAM) โ Neuro/Rare Patient Access (West)
Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Optimize Patient Access: Navigate reimbursement and access challenges to ensure timely access to Takeda therapies.
- Proactive Education and Support: Provide field-based education on reimbursement processes to key accounts (provider groups, hospitals, academic institutions, specialty pharmacies, and other stakeholders) and address access challenges.
- Strategic Partnership: Build relationships with healthcare organizations to identify and resolve reimbursement/access issues for seamless therapy initiation and continuation.
- Enhance Team Capabilities: Educate and support internal teams to handle complex reimbursement/access scenarios.
- Adaptability and Insight: Stay current on healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, and regulatory requirements.
Education, Skills, and Competencies Required:
- Bachelorโs Degree.
- 5+ years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs.
- Strong knowledge of the reimbursement landscape and practice management environment.
- Ability to develop and execute account-based strategies to drive access outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Expertise in account management, relationship development, and issue resolution.
- Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.
Desired:
- 5+ years in reimbursement roles in pharma/biotech/rare disease.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience in healthcare policy, reimbursement, market access, or related fields.
- Familiarity with buy-and-bill and pharmacy models.
- Experience with specialty/high-cost therapies in chronic or acute care.
Location and Travel Requirements:
- Field-based; up to 75% travel.
- Live in the territory.
- Ability to drive and/or fly to meetings; clean and valid driverโs license.
Compensation and Benefits (as stated):
- U.S. Base Salary Range: $152,000.00โ$209,000.00.
- May be eligible for incentives and benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, well-being benefits; up to 80 hours sick time; up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires.
