Position Summary
- Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) provides compliant, non-promotional reimbursement education for physician practices using Harrow buy-and-bill brands across Retina and Surgical franchises.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as primary field point of contact for reimbursement matters for practice administrators, billing/coding staff, and clinical staff.
- Educate on payer coverage policy; medical benefit billing/coding (HCPCS/CPT/J-codes, ICD-10, modifiers); prior authorization; and claims submission best practices.
- Support prior authorization and appeals by educating staff on payer-specific requirements and documentation.
- Educate on support programs (patient assistance, product replacement, sample programs) and coordinate warm handoffs to the HUB.
- Build/maintain trusted relationships; conduct regular structured business reviews (assess performance, denial trends, action plans).
- Identify at-risk accounts and develop targeted interventions; partner with Sales for coordinated, compliant support.
- Perform account-level claims analysis; translate findings into actionable guidance.
- Maintain deep payer policy knowledge (commercial, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid) and escalate complex/systemic issues with data.
- Coordinate with HUB/Patient Services; provide field insights; document activity in CRM.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 7+ years in healthcare reimbursement/brand management/sales (preferred bachelor’s or equivalent experience).
- Buy-and-bill experience required.
- 2+ years Field Reimbursement experience required.
- Preferred: healthcare credentialing/certification; eye care; private equity; HCPCS Level II (J-code) and Transitional Pass-Through experience.
- Experience: benefit verifications, prior authorizations, claim assistance, appeals; payer coverage (MACs, Medicare Advantage, Commercial, Medicaid); claims analysis and QBRs.
Remote; Travel up to 80%.
