Field Reimbursement Manager, Immunology Gastroenterology

This is a field-based role. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance of the primary city (Miami, FL or Fort Lauderdale, FL).
Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, access and reimbursement support tools/services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payer policies (payer issues, coding changes, claims submission processes)
- Liaise with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers in the territory
- Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities
Qualifications:
- 3+ years pharma experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access & Reimbursement
- Immunology experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Thorough understanding of payer policy processes for coverage/coding/payment of specialty medicines
- Knowledge of coding/billing requirements (national/regional; all settings of care)
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A/B/C/D reimbursement dynamics
- Knowledge of drug acquisition/dispensing (specialty pharmacies/distributors, white-bagging)
- Ability to interact with access/reimbursement support service centers compliantly
- Excellent territory and account management skills
- Ability to drive; valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned territory
