Field Reimbursement Manager- Illinois

Role: Field Reimbursement Manager supporting Amgen’s Respiratory business in Illinois, focusing on patient access and reimbursement. Responsibilities include managing defined accounts, executing territory strategic plans, educating healthcare providers on payer coverage, and resolving patient reimbursement issues from prior authorization to appeals. The role acts as an extension of the HUB, collaborates across departments, and maintains payer expertise, with a focus on specialty products (biologics or injectables) relevant to respiratory indications. Requirements: Doctorate or Master’s degree with 3+ years in healthcare, managed care, or pharmaceutical reimbursement; strong knowledge of insurance processes, billing, coding, and appeals; experience with specialty pharmacy, buy & bill, and CMS policies preferred. Skills in communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration are essential. The position involves 3 days/week in the field, remote work, and up to 80% travel within the geography. Experience with commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers, as well as familiarity with pharmacy benefit or medical benefit products, is highly preferred. The candidate should reside within or near the designated geographic area.
