Position Summary:
- Field Reimbursement Liaison (FRL) โ North Central provides access and reimbursement assistance to optimize the patient experience with Crineticsโ products, coordinating a cross-functional team to ensure patient access.
- Interfaces with HCPs and stakeholders (ancillary staff, nurse case managers, HUB coordinators, Market Access, and channel partners) on complex access/reimbursement cases; educates on Crinetics sponsored patient programs and processes for prior authorizations, resubmissions, and denials.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Conduct office calls to support patient access, including reimbursement, patient programs, and coverage questions.
- Resolve patient coverage/access/reimbursement issues in coordination with patient services.
- Proactively communicate patient services programs, policies, procedures, and resources to office staff.
- Liaise with CrinetiCARE and network specialty pharmacies.
- Provide strategic coverage/reimbursement leadership to internal Sales team.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance patient experience.
- Serve as subject matter expert on reimbursement/access (payer policies, PA requirements, denials, appeals, peer-to-peer).
- Provide insights on product/support service integration at HCP and hospital pharmacy accounts.
- Conduct quarterly practice reviews on utilization of patient services.
- Create training materials and deliver education to sales force, physicians, pharmacy directors, billing personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Track access/reimbursement trends; analyze issues/opportunities.
- Maintain deep understanding of Crinetics policies; handle PHI appropriately.
Required:
- Bachelorโs degree + 12+ years healthcare and/or pharma/biotech experience.
- Knowledge/aptitude for complex/rare diseases.
- Strong written/verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Credibility and persuasion skills; ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of third-party payers and case management (prior authorization/appeals).
- Proficiency with iPad; Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
- Time/workload/resource management; comfort with ambiguity; urgency.
- Cross-functional teamwork.
- Must live within the assigned territory/boundaries.
Preferred:
- 3โ5 years access and reimbursement experience.
- Case management and CRM systems experience.
- 2+ years with specialty pharmacy networks.
- US healthcare policy/payment system knowledge; hospital and physician reimbursement.
- Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS; site-of-care reimbursement.
- Experience launching a new specialty product/indication.
Travel/Role Requirements:
- Reside in region (Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, Michigan, Northern Ohio).
- Regional travel; up to 75%; overnight travel 2โ3 nights/week.
- Valid driverโs license and clean driving record; drive within territory; car allowance provided.
