Provide expert field-based patient education and support throughout the treatment journey for the Rett community as a dedicated point of contact to families for on-label clinical education questions about disease state and product education. Primarily partners with caregivers and families, and healthcare professionals as appropriate, to help patients start and stay on therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide disease state, product, and ongoing therapy management education upon request in consumer-friendly language (in-person, telephonic, and/or virtual).
- Assess individual needs of patients and caregivers and provide appropriate education/resources throughout the patient journey.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Sales, Patient Access Team, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, etc.) across an assigned territory (may require covering multiple states).
- Use expert knowledge to develop tools/resources to address educational gaps and improve therapy management strategies.
- Maintain deep knowledge of disease state, product, and Acadia Customer Support Programs (e.g., Hub-related and Patient Assistance Programs).
- Moderate/lead caregiver speaker programs as needed; attend community events.
- Reactively provide in-service to physician offices on the role and patient support resources; foster dialogue between caregivers and providers.
- Identify and execute leadership opportunities within the team and with cross-functional partners; provide mentorship/development as needed.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and company values.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (life sciences preferred); RN, MSN, MBA a plus.
- Family Support Educator: 5+ years relevant healthcare/pharma experience including 2+ years patient support/education (hospital nursing, social work, or patient advocacy may qualify).
- Senior Family Support Educator: 8+ years relevant experience including 5+ years patient support/education.

Required/Preferred Skills:
- Rare disease experience strongly preferred.
- Patient/caregiver education experience strongly preferred; account management and advocacy preferred.
- Strong field-environment understanding, cross-functional collaboration, and leading without authority.
- Experience working with provider offices and/or patient assistance programs strongly preferred.
- Empathy/emotional intelligence, empathetic listening, strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organization/time management; HIPAA knowledge.
- Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage expenses within budgets; fast learner, flexible, independent.
- Travel up to 70%; meet vaccination requirements for in-person activities.

Benefits:
- Discretionary bonus and equity awards (amount varies).
- Base salary range: $136,000–$170,000.
