Provide expert field-based patient education and support throughout the treatment journey for the Rett community. Serve as a dedicated point of contact for Rett families for on-label clinical education questions about disease state and product education. Primary audience includes caregivers and families (and healthcare professionals when appropriate).

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide disease state, product, and therapy management education upon request in consumer-friendly language via in-person, telephonic, and/or virtual interactions.
- Assess individual patient/caregiver needs and provide appropriate education/resources throughout the patient journey.
- Support an assigned multi-partner territory (may require coverage of multiple states) and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Patient Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, etc.).
- Apply expert knowledge of disease/product and Customer Support Programs (e.g., Hub-related and Patient Assistance Programs, ambassador speaker programs).
- Moderate/lead caregiver speaker programs as needed and attend community events.
- Provide reactive in-service to physician offices about the role and patient support resources (pre/post enrollment).
- Identify leadership and mentorship/development opportunities; identify training opportunities within Patient Support Services.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (life sciences preferred); RN/MSN/MBA a plus.
- Family Support Educator: 5+ years relevant healthcare/pharma experience, incl. 2+ years in patient support/education.
- Senior Family Support Educator: 8+ years relevant experience, incl. 5+ years in patient support/education.

Required/Preferred Skills:
- Rare disease experience strongly preferred; patient/caregiver education strongly preferred.
- Strong field knowledge; successful cross-functional collaboration; leading without authority.
- Advocacy and account management experience preferred.
- Experience with provider offices and patient support programs strongly preferred.
- Empathy, emotional intelligence, exceptional organization, HIPAA knowledge, strong communication/presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; manage expenses within budgets; travel up to 70%.
