Position Summary: The Family Support Educator - Lead provides expert field-based leadership to assigned Family Support Educators (FSEs). Serves as a dedicated point of contact to Rett families for on-label clinical education questions related to disease state and product education. Ensures alignment across stakeholders to meet FSE objectives. Field-based; requires up to 70% travel.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach a team of FSEs to educate on disease state, product, and ongoing therapy management
- Execute strategic/tactical initiatives
- Act as primary escalation point for FSE issues; primary contact for Regional Directors, National Sales Director, AIR, MSL, and Case Management/Hub leadership
- Provide expert insights to internal stakeholders to address educational gaps and improve disease state education and therapy management strategies
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of disease state, product, and Acadia Customer Support Programs (e.g., Hub/Patient Assistance, ambassador speaker programs)
- Build relationships with local/regional/national advocacy groups
- Identify education messaging needs; develop and lead approved compliant plans with cross-functional execution
- Collaborate with the Rare Disease National Director on FSE onboarding/training, Patient Support Services initiatives, team evolution, and performance metrics
- Develop and mentor team; oversee hiring, performance management, and promotions; ensure compliance with Acadia policies/values
Education & Experience:
- Bachelorβs degree; target 8 years relevant experience (e.g., pharma sales/access/national accounts/specialty pharmacy/nursing) with access/reimbursement expertise; MBA a plus
- Minimum 3 years recent leadership experience
- Rare Disease, new product launch, advocacy, Medicaid/Medicare expertise strongly preferred

- Strong communications/presentation skills; budget management
