Facilities & Production Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
- Provide customer service; prioritize safety of self and others.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for production and facility equipment (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing), including automated process machines and laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot, detect, and repair equipment; interpret mechanical specifications and operational manuals.
- Install and validate new equipment; work with manufacturers remotely to resolve machine issues.
- Maintain CMMS and manage technical publication library and spare parts program.
- Implement contractor safety and safe work permit processes; follow EHS procedures including Lock Out Tag Out, ozone-depleting chemicals, and proper disposal of maintenance waste.
- Inspect building/equipment for safety issues; report deficiencies and perform required repairs.
- Inspect facility for major repair needs; obtain quotations from approved suppliers and qualify new suppliers.
- Monitor site janitorial/sanitation contractorsβ performance.
- Provide facilities support for new equipment installation and operational validations.
- Perform general plant maintenance (patching/painting walls, replacing ceiling tiles, repairing plumbing and door fixtures).
- Organize/optimize facilities office for cost-effective operations; work independently and with others.
- Serve as primary contact for alarm and backup power supplier; secondary contact for emergency personnel.
- Perform other delegated duties including manufacturing tasks.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school education minimum; associate degree in Mechanical/Maintenance preferred.
- 3+ years related hands-on experience.
- Prior GMP-controlled environment experience required.
- Strong knowledge of applicable EHS requirements.
- Proficient with email communication, Microsoft Office, and CMMS; SolidWorks proficiency is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift 50 lbs; not color blind; able to lay, crouch, bend, and climb a 20-foot ladder.
Benefits / Compensation (as stated):
- Base salary range: $26.10 - $42.90.
