Facilities Engineer I - Clean Utilities - PS AM

The purpose of this position is to maintain and optimize all clean utilities systems for the DFP-US facility.
Responsibilities:
- Write/review specifications and lead design reviews for clean utilities
- Support equipment installation, commissioning & qualifications
- Develop SOPs and maintenance plans; develop and train on maintenance activities
- Support cost, quality, and schedule management within area of responsibility
- Provide technical support for site project execution
- Establish and maintain standards for procedures and maintenance plans
- Support technical development of Facilities Technicians
- Continuously improve processes using cLEAN concepts
- Maintain safety and environmental requirements; adhere to all Quality & environmental regulations in area of responsibility
Relationships:
- Reports to Manager, Facilities Maintenance and Engineering
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent education/experience) required
- 2β5+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing facility
- Preferred: knowledge/experience in operations, maintenance, and design of cGMP utilities; regulated environment experience (FDA, cGMP, OSHA)
- Preferred: prior ownership/work experience with clean utilities (WFI, pure water, clean steam, process air, electrical)
- Knowledge of black utilities (chilled water, plant steam, compressed air, vacuum, waste water; cryogenic storage a plus)
- Preferred: ability to read/review design drawings (CAD) with basic P&ID, HVAC, and electrical understanding
- Preferred: understanding URS, SAT, FAT, validation protocols; technical/product documentation and SOP concepts
- Preferred: computer literacy
- Preferred: planning/organization/execution expertise; follow-up; revising work plans for complex issues with cross-functional teams
