Position Summary
Responsible for driving sales and developing business within an assigned long-term care (LTC) territory. Manage relationships with prescribers, pharmacists, facility decision-makers, and the LTC care team to identify, start, and maintain appropriate patients on therapy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build relationships across the LTC resident care team (physicians/NP/PA, consultant & dispensing pharmacists, nursing facility leadership/staff).
- Promote Acadia products with compliant clinical, disease-state, and reimbursement education tailored to customer needs.
- Address customer questions/objections using advanced selling skills.
- Use local/regional market knowledge to drive business planning.
- Create and execute quarterly territory business/action plans using data to maximize reach, frequency, and impact.
- Advise on pricing/reimbursement and LTC profitability parameters; liaison for access questions.
- Partner cross-functionally (managed markets, marketing, operations, training) and represent the company at conferences/training.
- Mentor/train junior Sales Specialists; maintain compliance with LTC regulations and company policies.
Knowledge & Expertise / Qualifications
- In-depth neuroscience; knowledge of LTC market dynamics, payer systems (Part A, Part D), specialty distribution, and LTC regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree required (life sciences preferred).
- Sales experience: 1–2 years (Sales Specialist), 5 years with 2+ years account-based (Sr.), or 12 years with 3+ years account-based (Executive).
- Advanced selling/negotiation; leadership/mentorship; business acumen.
- Must reside within territory (or within 30 miles). Valid driver’s license; travel up to 80%.
