Role: Lead the global corporate tax function, overseeing tax planning, compliance, and reporting to optimize tax strategies and support business growth. Responsibilities include developing tax strategies across jurisdictions, managing tax accounting (ASC 740-10), preparing global tax returns, directing transfer pricing policies, and maximizing R&D tax credits. The role also involves international expansion support, tax forecasting, monitoring tax law changes, and leading tax audits. The leader will develop and mentor a high-performing team, coordinate with external advisors, and ensure adherence to SOX controls. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master’s in Taxation; 15+ years of progressive corporate tax experience; 10+ years in senior leadership roles with people management; deep knowledge of federal, international, and multi-state tax issues; proficiency with tax software, ERP, GAAP, and SOX. Preferred skills include strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. High-Value: Focus on corporate income tax, transfer pricing, R&D credits, and international tax, supporting a biotech company with a pipeline in neurological and rare diseases. Work setup: On-site preferred, with up to 25% travel.
