Job Description
Reporting to the Gilead Vice President Global Talent Acquisition, the Executive Director Talent Acquisition will lead TA transformation to a scalable, efficient function while recruiting and attracting top talent with a lens toward diversity across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key Talent Acquisition business partner to senior business leaders across functions and geographies, including Kite, as well as VPs of HR.
- Translate business workforce/hiring plans and long-term talent needs into TA action with the Core Recruiting Lead and TA teams (Capability, sourcing, Executive).
- Lead and develop a team of full-cycle recruiters for high-impact, challenging-to-fill roles with emphasis on diverse talent, efficiency, and results.
- Lead global TA capabilities/strategy: employer brand (EVP-driven recruiting advertising), candidate experience, US strategic sourcing/pipelining, and US early talent/university relations (summer internship program and intern-FTE conversions).
- Envision and implement new ways of working, streamlining/simplifying processes to prioritize candidate experience.
- Partner with VP TA, TALT, HRSS, PMO, People Technology on transformational and continuous improvement process/technology opportunities.
- Share talent insights/trends; partner with I&D on diverse events strategy.
- Build an AI-ready TA team globally by assessing learning gaps and upskilling in AI.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree with 16+ years HR experience (healthcare/biopharma preferred), including HR leadership roles at scale; or
- Masterβs/PhD/PharmD with 14+ years HR experience (healthcare/biopharma preferred), including HR leadership roles at scale.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- TA leadership experience; leading remote/hybrid or geographically dispersed teams in a matrixed organization.
- Transformational/enterprise/growth mindset; inclusive leadership and emotional intelligence.
- Strong knowledge of HR and TA best practices (life sciences/healthcare/biotech).
- Commitment to diversity recruitment with results delivery; strong business acumen.
- Judgment, ability to work with ambiguity, and AI-ready aptitude.

Compensation/Benefits (if eligible)
- Salary range: $281,010.00β$363,660.00; may include discretionary bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and benefits (medical/dental/vision/life).
