Role: Executive Director leading US Strategy Prioritization & Governance for Novartis' US Commercial. Objectives: build and oversee enterprise strategy portfolio governance, translating long-term priorities into a transparent, decision-ready initiative portfolio, and track strategic outcomes. Responsibilities: design and operate intake, evaluation, prioritization, sequencing, and decision forums; develop a balanced framework considering strategic value, patient impact, commercial potential, capacity, risks, and dependencies; facilitate quarterly portfolio reviews and executive routines; partner across US Business Strategy, Transformation, Finance, and digital teams to manage cross-portfolio dependencies; establish KPIs for strategy delivery and outcomes; build disciplined portfolio management practices. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (Master's/MBA preferred); 12+ years in strategy, portfolio management, enterprise governance, or related fields; proven experience with senior stakeholder influence, portfolio review processes, and decision frameworks; strong communication, quantitative, and risk management skills. Desirable: pharma portfolio governance, drug development stage-gate experience, or capability-building background. High-Value: US commercial strategy, enterprise governance, portfolio management, cross-functional leadership, strategic decision-making in a biotech/pharma environment. Location: East Hanover, NJ; up to 20% domestic/international travel; on-site role.
