Executive Director, Real World Evidence Innovation Center Lead, Global Medical

Role: Executive Director leading the Real World Data (RWD) Innovation Center within Bristol Myers Squibb's Global Medical organization. The primary goal is to enable and advance RWE generation by building enterprise capabilities, infrastructure, and partnerships. Responsibilities include establishing the RWDIC, defining strategy for RWD ecosystem engagement, and integrating internal and external data sources such as EMR/EHR, claims, and registries across therapeutic areas. The role involves serving as a scientific and strategic authority on RWD, fostering cross-functional collaboration with Data Analytics, HEOR, Clinical Development, Market Access, and external partners, and guiding the adoption of advanced study designs and AI-enabled workflows. A key focus is institutionalizing RWD as a standard component in study planning, enhancing organizational fluency and capacity in RWE activities through training, knowledge management, and community building. The role also entails developing and maintaining scientific expertise in innovative study designs like external control arms and hybrid trials. Qualifications include a PhD or equivalent in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related fields, with 10+ years of experience in RWE, epidemiology, or health data science, demonstrable expertise in RWD ecosystems, and experience with AI tools. The position is based preferably in Princeton, NJ, with other locations, and may involve some travel. The role is strategic and leadership-focused, supporting the organization’s ability to produce scientifically rigorous real-world evidence to inform patient care and regulatory decisions.
