How You Will Make An Impact
The Executive Director, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing & Supply Transactions Counsel provides strategic legal advice and transactional support for Halozyme’s drug delivery technologies and products. Serves as transactional team lead and partners with supply and manufacturing operations and CDMOs on development, manufacturing, and supply chain matters. Evaluates, negotiates, and administer new agreements for clinical and commercial manufacturing; also provides legal support for potential evaluation/acquisition of new drug delivery technologies.

In This Role, You’ll Have The Opportunity To
- Support/lead strategy and negotiation of pharmaceutical product manufacturing and supply collaborations
- Draft NDAs and agreements (development, manufacturing, service, supply, CDMO, etc.)
- Conduct diligence and support life sciences transactions (e.g., M&A, in-licenses)
- Advise management and business teams on complex manufacturing/supply chain legal issues
- Collaborate with business development, manufacturing, supply chain, regulatory, quality, and engineering teams
- Support the Vice President, Associate General Counsel as needed
- Develop and deliver legal training for business teams on risk mitigation and manufacturing/supply legal issues

To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Need
- J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school; admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction
- 8+ years’ law firm and/or in-house experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- Strategic transactions leadership; negotiate/draft complex manufacturing and supply agreements (incl. CDMO agreements)
- Life sciences IP law experience preferred
