Position Summary
Executive Director of Patient Support & Services responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing patient support programs to enable patient access, reimbursement support, affordability assistance, adherence services, and patient education; establish launch-ready infrastructure for an upcoming Retina launch; build external partnerships and collaborate cross-functionally.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop strategies for a seamless access experience for patients, providers, office staff, and care support partners.
- Lead launch readiness (capabilities, infrastructure, technology, vendors, processes, reporting) prior to launch.
- Establish/oversee relationships with hubs, specialty pharmacies, copay administrators, and patient support vendors.
- Select and manage patient support vendors; build performance management.
- Build patient-facing team for proactive outreach and education/adherence at key milestones.
- Design/manage co-pay, free drug, and other cost-share reduction programs.
- Design/build patient CRM and data flows; identify access barriers using case-level data; ensure HIPAA-compliant data practices.
- Establish policies for effective operations and regulatory compliance.
- Define/monitor KPIs and analytics for starts, reimbursement outcomes, assistance utilization, adherence, operational performance, and patient experience.
- Conduct activities in compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Lead budget planning and financial oversight for programs and service models.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and patient/provider experience.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 15+ years in patient services, market access, reimbursement, or related pharma/biotech functions.
- 10+ years in management/leadership.
- Significant experience designing patient support programs in a launch readiness environment.
- Proven track record scaling capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of patient services vendors (hubs, copay administrators, specialty pharmacies, strategic partners).
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication; self-starter.

Salary Range: $330,000 USD - $355,000 USD
