Patient Advocacy
Position Purpose:
- Execute strategic patient advocacy and engagement initiatives for Stoke’s Dravet syndrome, ADOA, and Syngap1 programs; align advocacy efforts across the product lifecycle with special focus on U.S. launch readiness for zorevunersen and capacity building for ADOA and Syngap1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison to the patient community; build trusted relationships and respond to needs/questions in a timely manner.
- Connect employees with patient communities using innovative, compliant engagement approaches.
- Co-create patient-facing programs/materials (e.g., clinical trial awareness, launch preparedness).
- Build and lead a team of Patient Advocacy Liaisons; foster accountability and collaboration.
- Ensure timely, accurate patient-community communications of company updates.
- Partner with Product/Corporate Communications, Medical Affairs, and Clinical Operations to manage compliant external inquiries.
- Review/approve patient organization funding and collaborations (with Medical Affairs); contribute to policy/process improvements.
- Incorporate patient insights into decision-making (e.g., advisory boards, programming/messaging input).
- Organize strategic engagement with patient advocacy organizations at congresses/events.
- Support Corporate Affairs efforts (employee and corporate communications).
- Deliver an annual advocacy plan with KPIs; continually improve advocacy best practices.
- Manage advocacy budget and oversee external partners/consultants/agencies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (social science, science, public policy, or health-related preferred).
- 12+ years in patient advocacy in biotech/pharma or health nonprofit (rare disease, regulatory milestones, KOL/society engagement, commercial-stage experience ideal).
- Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle; strong relationship-building; proven program/partnership leadership.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; experience leading high-performing teams.
- Strategic problem-solving; ability to prioritize in fast-changing environments.
- Knowledge of biopharmaceutical regulations impacting communications/reimbursement and public-company communications rules.
- Demonstrated ethics/integrity and confidentiality.
- Leadership influence across org; independent work with minimal supervision.
- Travel up to 30%.

- Anticipated salary: $296,000–$311,000; annual bonus and equity participation.
