Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national business plan for the Immunology portfolio (brand strategy, market insights, customer data, competitor dynamics).
- Translate corporate/brand strategies into operational objectives, KPIs, and regional execution plans; track progress and refine to meet targets.
- Drive launch readiness and lifecycle management; optimize product positioning, omnichannel tactics, and field implementation.
- Lead, recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing immunology field sales organization (regional/district managers and customer team representatives).
- Establish performance standards, set annual objectives, conduct reviews, coach managers, provide succession planning and professional development.
- Build an inclusive, patient-centric, ethical sales culture.
- Serve as an Immunology commercial strategy subject matter expert; contribute to integrated therapeutic area strategies.
- Partner with Marketing, Market Access, Sales Training, and Operations to align programs, messaging, and resources.
- Ensure sales training on portfolio, disease, market access dynamics, business acumen, and omnichannel/customer engagement tools.
- Build relationships with KOLs, top customers, advocacy groups, and healthcare system stakeholders.
- Educate HCPs and systems on clinical and economic benefits.
- Define salesforce sizing/alignment, territory design, incentives, and deployment to maximize coverage, productivity, and ROI.
- Manage operating expense budgets; ensure compliant, fact-based decision making.
- Use data/metrics to monitor performance and optimize while maintaining engagement during transitions.
- Promote omnichannel approaches and technology tools for consistent customer experiences.
Education
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field (required)
- Advanced degree (preferred)
Required Experience and Skills
- 10β12+ years combined pharma/biotech sales, sales leadership, and commercial strategy.
- Proven ability to develop strategic business plans and implement omnichannel strategies cross-functionally.
- Strong US healthcare knowledge (providers/IDNs, specialty pharmacies, access/reimbursement).
- Track record building high-performing teams (strategic agility, business acumen, decision quality, results, managerial courage).
- 5+ years leading national/regional sales teams.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Deep immunology experience, specifically Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Gastroenterology), including success in competitive markets and product launches.
