Role: Executive Director, Head of Litigation at a global biopharma company, leading enterprise litigation strategy and operations. Responsibilities: manage and resolve global disputes excluding IP, oversee litigation processes, advise senior leadership and board on legal risks, select and manage outside counsel, develop scalable legal workflows, and ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards. Also responsible for cross-border dispute management, leveraging technology for process improvement, and monitoring industry legal developments. Requirements: JD from ABA-accredited school, admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, ~15 years of complex litigation and investigations experience, preferably including in-house at a public life sciences or regulated company. Deep expertise in commercial disputes, securities, employment, product claims, government investigations, and civil enforcement, with familiarity in antitrust and competition law. Skills: strong leadership, strategic judgment, excellent communication, and experience managing outside vendors and cross-functional teams. Preferred: experience with legal tech, analytics, and AI tools to optimize legal workflows. High-value: leadership in a highly regulated biopharma environment, managing multi-jurisdictional investigations, and advising on public company disclosures. Location: Cambridge, MA, with travel flexibility.
