Role Summary

Executive Director, Global Product Strategy: GI/GU & Early Assets. Based on our scientific, technological and clinical base, this role leads the Global Product Strategy team focusing on developing and potentially launching assets in GI/GU cancers. The role partners with oncology clinicians, R&D, and cross-functional teams to design development programs optimized for regulatory and commercial success, and drives commercial performance in major markets.

Responsibilities

  • Extensive knowledge and experience across global markets in Oncology to drive commercialization strategies
  • Deep understanding of GI/GU markets and development of oncology assets Ph1-3
  • Partner and influence within R&D to shape programs to meet patient and clinician needs
  • Partner and influence from a global position with country commercial teams
  • Lead and mentor the tumor team, providing strategic guidance and coaching
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies, including branding, positioning, and scientific messaging
  • Inform go-to-market approach using insights from providers, KOLs, patients, and market access stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze market, customer, and competitor trends to inform plans
  • Develop global brand positioning and messaging for product differentiation; align medical and market access strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups (Insights & Analytics, R&D, regulatory, sales, finance, Medical Affairs) on strategic and executional plans
  • Ensure consistency with partner when BioNTech has co-commercialization rights
  • Plan and manage budget requirements with monitoring and tracking
  • Manage vendor partnerships to ensure activities are on plan, cost-effective and within budget

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years in pharmaceutical or biotech industry with increasing responsibilities
  • Experience in country/affiliate leadership roles and at regional/international level
  • Undergraduate degree; MBA, PhD or similar considered a plus
  • Oncology including immunotherapy knowledge
  • Significant experience launching products internationally and nationally
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong collaboration and alignment-building skills
  • Fluent in English
