Your Role (Executive Director, FP&A)
- Drive enterprise-wide FP&A strategy and execution in partnership with the SVP, Finance.
- Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly reforecasts, and Long-Range Plan (LRP).
- Partner with Clinical Operations to sharpen clinical trial forecasting for late-stage development budgets.
- Serve as the Finance representative on Global Program Team(s) to ensure cross-functional alignment on strategy execution and resourcing.
- Assess financial impact of strategic changes; drive scenario planning and deliver decision-support insights.
- Lead cash runway and burn-rate analysis to inform capital planning and executive/Board decisions.
- Develop materials for Board and executive leadership on financial performance, forecasts, and key drivers.
- Convert R&D and clinical program assumptions into financial and headcount forecasts across the pipeline.
- Provide financial modeling/analysis for business development, licensing, and corporate development opportunities.
- Partner with Accounting on close and budget-to-actual variance analysis for accurate, timely reporting.
- Build and refine scalable FP&A processes, systems, and tools.
- Provide early-stage commercial finance support bridging to a dedicated commercial function.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A team (initially two direct reports).

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting (required); MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- 15+ years progressive Finance/FP&A experience; significant biotech/pharma leadership experience.
- Late-stage clinical trial budgeting/forecasting experience (pre-commercial desirable).
- Proven AOP/reforecast/LRP leadership.
- FP&A planning systems and ERP/procurement tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, NetSuite); scalable process-building.
- Team leadership/mentoring experience.
- Business partnering experience (Global Program Teams, Clinical Ops, Commercial).
- Experience presenting financial insights/forecasts/scenarios to executives and Board.
- Cash flow and runway modeling experience (clinical-stage biotech/pharma).
- Knowledge of drug development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, scenario-planning, and communication skills.
- Resourceful, adaptable, execution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
