About The Role
- Lead the Contracts, Pricing & Trade function overseeing in-line product pricing, pipeline pricing, payer and channel contracting, chargeback/rebate operations, government price reporting, and Gross-to-Net (GTN) forecasting, including NS channel & trade strategy/operations.
- Lead and operate the Pricing Committee (PC), execute pricing actions, provide transparency analysis/reports, and manage government price reporting.
- Collaborate with Market Access and commercial leadership on pricing/contracting strategy for payers, 3PL, specialty pharmacy, and specialty distributors.
- Manage and develop contracting operations capabilities, including rebate processing/reporting systems and GTN management.
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to)
- Government Price Calculations & Reporting: ensure compliance (including IRA impacts), submit GP reports (AMP, BP, FCP, 340B/PHS, ANFAMP, NFAMP), oversee state price transparency workgroup/submissions; maintain well-documented processes.
- Pricing: lead pricing/payer research for inline actions and pipeline/product launches; lead/operate Pricing Committee governance and approval process.
- GTN Forecasting: lead quarterly GTN review; collaborate with Finance on forecast/actual drivers; support short/long-term forecasts and discount forecasting.
- Access Strategy, Contracting & Operations: build analytical tools/models; define pricing/contract strategy for Part D bids, commercial, Medicaid, DoD/VA, GPO, LTC, and distribution; oversee rebate operations and 3PL provider.
- Trade Strategy & Operations: lead trade/channel strategy; oversee trade operations (order processing, inventory, returns, pharmacy network); manage wholesaler/distributor relationships/contracting; negotiate distribution/channel agreements to minimize GTN impact; select/manage trade partners and performance metrics.
- Regulatory Landscape: translate policy changes into operational impact analysis/recommendations.
- Mentor and coach direct reports; perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS/BA in Engineering, Science, or Business plus 17+ years pharmaceutical/biopharma industry experience (MBA preferred) OR Masterβs plus 15+ years OR PhD plus 12+ years.
- Extensive managerial experience.
- Proven leadership; ability to influence C-suite.
- Deep expertise in commercial pricing & contracting; diversified experience ideally across Medicaid, Specialty Pharmacy, and Trade/Distribution (3PL).
- Demonstrated ability to build systems for gross-to-net, contract development/administration, and contract reporting.
- Demonstrated experience with government price reporting and Medicare/Medicaid rebate execution/management.
- Strong vendor management and stakeholder collaboration.
Benefits/Compensation (if applicable to this posting)
- Annual base salary: $269,500β$368,000; annual bonus target 35% of earned base; equity long-term incentive eligibility; retirement savings match; paid vacation/holidays/personal days; paid caregiver/parental and medical leave; medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage.
