Role Summary
Executive Director, Business Transformation reporting to the Head of Business Transformation. Responsible for the strategic and operational design and delivery of organizational transformation and change management projects. Collaborates with teams across the enterprise to drive operational excellence, process improvements, strategic planning, and change adoption and integration.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and shape new enterprise initiatives by monitoring internal and external environments, spotting trends and inefficiencies, and turning insights into actionable initiatives.
- Drive strategic priorities and deliver impact for transformation by defining the future state and ensuring initiatives support long-term objectives.
- Lead and manage change through effective stakeholder engagement, building trust and guiding teams through uncertainty using structured change management approaches.
- Shape and communicate the change narratives by translating transformation goals into clear, inspiring messages and maintaining momentum and buy-in.
- Drive execution through rigorous project and program management, organizing cross-functional efforts, monitoring milestones, and managing resources, risks, and dependencies to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Adapt quickly and make data-informed decisions, continuously assessing progress and pivoting strategies based on data insights.
- Lead in building a transformation community of practice, facilitating collaboration, knowledge exchange, and capability building across the organization.
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in management consultancy and/or leading transformation programs.
- Required: Graduate degree (MBA, Masters, MD or PhD preferred).
- Required: Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Required: Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills with a consultative approach.
- Required: Operational effectiveness, structured and critical thinking, highly organized processes with follow-through.
- Required: Strong initiative to understand core business goals and establish processes or programs to set direction and drive alignment.
- Required: Financial background and understanding of forecasts, budgets, and financial activities/tools.
- Required: Resourceful, motivated, influential and proactive; ability to prioritize in a fast-growing organization.
- Required: Experience in strategic planning processes and tools and/or project management tools.
- Preferred: Background/experience in life sciences or understanding of the pharmaceutical business (R&D, Operations, Commercial).
- Preferred: Experience in leading and managing alliances or strategic partnerships.
- Preferred: Experience translating business needs into coordinated proposals and plans for cross-functional senior leadership.
- Preferred: Ability to develop creative and simple solutions to complex problems.
