Position Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Marketing Portfolio and part of the commercial team, the Events Operations Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational planning and execution of national, regional, and local meetings and events (congresses, conventions, exhibits, commercial meetings including internal meetings, and other company-sponsored events across all brands). Ensures activities such as internal alignment/approval, PRC material approvals as required, scheduling, contracting, pre-con meetings, ordering, and shipping of materials are completed in an organized, timely, and efficient manner.

Core Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of events and exhibits; work cross-functionally with sales, legal, compliance, marketing, and field operations.
- Lead non-exhibit sponsorship operations from planning/contracting through on-site logistics and execution.
- Support planning for key internal meetings and events (National Sales Meetings, POAs, President's Club trips).
- Source/contract venues and vendors; conduct site inspections; serve as primary point of contact for agencies handling booth design, logistics, and execution.
- Chair cross-functional teams; develop/monitor/communicate timelines to align on content, messaging, and event strategy.
- Manage exhibit design and staffing; oversee on-site logistics (registration, housing, travel, financial reconciliation).
- Select congresses/meetings; conduct post-event evaluations to measure ROI and business impact.
- Oversee review of content/materials for compliance with legal, regulatory, and medical guidelines, including PRC approval.
- Manage event budgets and control costs while delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and congress associations.
- Develop and maintain SOPs; improve processes for consistent execution.
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders on objectives, roles, responsibilities, and outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in marketing to the ophthalmic audience preferred; experience with ophthalmic pharmaceuticals preferred.
- Experience in conference/meetings management required.
- Understanding of the FDA PRC review process for promotional activities.
- Demonstrated cross-functional experience.
- Attention to detail; well-organized; creative problem solver.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and exercise sound business judgment and high ethical standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to write customer/field sales communications.
- Ability to multitask and adjust priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Salesforce, Pardot, Airtable, Tableau a plus; Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) a plus.
