Role Summary
Environmental, Health & Safety Co-op for Spring 2026. Learn and support EHS activities within the biotechnology industry, collaborating with laboratory, manufacturing and facilities personnel to understand chemical use, process safety, and EHS program management in a GMP life sciences environment.
Responsibilities
- General support of the EHS team and execution of key projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and control environmental and physical hazards in the workplace.
- Assist in managing environmental aspects and implementing risk controls.
- Learn about oligonucleotide processing and support manufacturing process systems in a GMP/high-throughput lab setting.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an EHS-related bachelorโรรดs or masterโรรดs degree program at an accredited college/university (e.g., Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Occupational Health and Safety, or related science disciplines).
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
- Strong Windows OS background.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-organized with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take direction to resolve incidents quickly and effectively.
- Ability to complete routine tasks independently over time, developing functional, technical, and problem-solving skills.
