Job Summary
The Enterprise Data Architect and Technical Lead is a strategic, hands-on leadership role within the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team. Define and drive the enterprise data architecture vision for scalable, high-quality data solutions. Oversee design and implementation of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), enterprise integration layer (middleware), and MDM; guide technical execution of data projects, manage resource allocation, and foster collaboration across functional and IT teams.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture, implementation, and delivery of the EDW.
- Partner on middleware/ETL capabilities; integrate MDM into organizational operational processes.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data architecture and technical plans.
- Define and enforce data standards, lineage, and attribute mapping across systems.
- Design logical/dimensional data models (e.g., Customer360) for enterprise reporting/analytics.
- Build and maintain data dictionary and metadata repository.
- Use SQL and other tools to analyze/validate/audit data quality.
- Ensure data governance, security, and performance optimization best practices.
- Collaborate with functional partners/IT analysts; communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
Minimum Education & Experience/Skills
- Bachelorβs degree (CS/IS/Engineering/Business or related) or equivalent experience.
- 10β15 years with: SQL Server/Oracle; Informatica/MuleSoft; Snowflake/Vertica; ERWin/ER Studio; data modeling/large-scale structured & unstructured data; data movement/transformation technologies; TFS/CVS/Git (preferred).
- Strong analytics; written/verbal communication; business/technical acumen; time management/organization; collaboration; self-starter.
Highly Desirable
- SAP functional modules (Finance/Accounting, Supply Chain, MM, WM, Procure to Pay).
- Delivering BI/DW solutions to end users in the pharmaceutical industry.
